This April Fools' Day, the Center Street campus was filled with laughter, surprises, and just the right amount of silliness, thanks to a playful Teacher Swap that kept students (and adults) on their toes!
Students arrived expecting a typical Tuesday morning—but were greeted by unexpected faces leading their lessons! Whether it was Ms. Bejarano giving a spelling test with nonsense words to 2nd graders or Ms. Feenstra pretending to be Ms. Karich, the classrooms were quickly filled with giggles and wide eyes.
While the swap was short and sweet, the joy it sparked was lasting. These playful moments remind us that a little surprise and shared laughter can go a long way in building a strong, connected school community.
Thank you to our amazing students and staff for embracing the spirit of fun and togetherness.

Center Street fifth graders recently became young entrepreneurs at Market Day! 💵
After purchasing their business licenses, students set up shop and sold handmade items, tasty treats, and creative crafts!
Shoppers from other grades came ready with their Big Bucks, earned through positive behavior, to support these student-run businesses. From budgeting to customer service, these future CEOs impressed us all with their creativity, confidence, and collaboration!

REMINDER: We will see students and staff back in school on Monday, April 14! ✍️ #ESUSD

The #ESUSD IT team is working hard to roll out new laptops for teachers. 💻✨
They recently met with GST, the laptop vendor, to finalize device configuration and logistics. Each laptop will be branded with the ESUSD logo and prepped for distribution, ensuring educators have the tools they need to integrate technology seamlessly into the classroom.

CSS kindergarteners had an absolute blast celebrating Holi, the festival of colors! 🌈🎉
With vibrant powders flying through the air, laughter, and joy all around, they embraced the spirit of love, unity, and new beginnings. It was magical to watch their excitement as they tossed colors and learned about this beautiful tradition!

CSS recently celebrated Neurodiversity Week, honoring the beauty of different minds! 🌟
To kick things off, Ms. Ahrens and Ms. Moran hosted a read aloud of This is My Brain! A Book on Neurodiversity. Students also got creative during Spirit Week—rocking shirts with words or images that communicate in different ways, cozy sensory-friendly PJs, and neon to show that their differences make them shine bright!
CSS classes had the opportunity to explore a virtual library featuring stories of neurodiverse children. Students reflected on what makes their minds unique through writing and art, and their creations now proudly hang in our main office.

Enjoy your Spring Break! Students and staff return on Monday, April 14. See you again soon! 👋
