Please join parents on Thursday, January 19th at 6 pm in El Segundo Middle School Bulldog Hall for an interactive and fun presentation in honor of National No Name Calling Week. Nationally Acclaimed Keynote Speaker and Youth Motivator, Michael Prichard will spend 90 minutes with parents talking about themes in his book, "Listen to What Your Kids Aren't Saying," in which he outlines communication tools and negative behavior recognition. He will also answer questions from the audience. This informative evening will include humor and humanitarian observations. Mr. Pritchard will speak to all 4th and 5th graders during the school day.
Our SSC will be discussing our Comprehensive School Safety Plan (CSSP) and our Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) at this month’s meeting. All are welcome in our conference room Thursday, January 19th at 3 pm.
January 18th at 9:15am in the CSS Cafeteria. Middle School Assistant Principal Rabiei will be sharing the details of our newly adopted school discipline policy, which will make all interventions and consequences very clear for parents, students and school staff.
Our first open agenda meeting for parents who work during the school day will be on January 12th at 6:30 pm. The meeting will last about an hour and childcare will be provided by PTA for those who Rsvp in advance at: email@example.com

It's that time of year again....time for Center Street to show off all of its amazing talent!! If you have a student who would like to perform in our show this year the sign ups will be in the front office December 12th-16th. Please sign up early because it is first come first pick times and we fill up quickly. Every year we have had a wait list and that is not a guarantee that you will be seen, but we will try to make it work.
ESUSD is partnering with the El Segundo Rotary for the Annual Gently Used Book Drive, November 28 - December 16. Please drop off your gently used children's books in the bright red or green plastic bin that is located in your school office. The books will be distributed to students in Lawndale. The students look forward to receiving the books every year! Thank you for your contribution!

The Book Fair is on! Please support literacy in your family and raise money for our school by visiting the CSS library for your holiday shopping. Our fabulous parent volunteers will be ready to ring you up from 8 am to 3 pm all week. The book fair will also open their doors tonight from 5-8 pm during our Story Pirates Family Night.
Come bring the whole family to watch the Story Pirates bring children’s writing to life tonight. The show will begin at 6 pm. Light snacks will be provided.
