Talent Show Cover Design Contest

As you know the Talent Show is quickly approaching and many things need to be done. One important job is the creation of the cover of the program and that is where YOU come in! Are you interested in designing the cover? If so, create a design that is 5 ½ by 8 ½; this is half of a sheet of standard paper. All creations should be in BLACK INK. Your design can either be drawn or created on the computer, but everything must be in black ink, no color. Designs can be turned into the office. Covers must include the following information: “Student Council presents…2017 Center Street’s Annual Talent Show” and the date of the show “March 3rd.” All designs are due on Wednesday, Feb. 15th.

4th Annual Staff and Community Partners Recognition for Educational Excellence and Support:

Nominate a special educator to be recognized for their Excellence and Support. Last year, despite our small school district, we had the most educators receiving the award in our area! This is an opportunity for parents and family members of students in special education to nominate staff whom they feel have made a difference in the life of a child with disabilities. You ,may nominate a teacher, instructional aide, special service provider, administrator or other school staff who you believe goes above and beyond to support your child.
Nominations will be accepted through February 3rd and can be submitted by emailing completed forms to or delivering to the Family Resource Center located at 320 Knob Hill, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Click on the headline above for the nomination form.

The volunteers and families supported at CASE would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the generous support you provide each and every month with your food donations. Without these monthly food drives at CSS and RSS the many families in need would have much less to choose from and would be very limited in the amount of food they would be able to provide for their family via our food pantry. It is because of your generosity and continued monthly support of CASE food drives our families are able to shop for what they need in order to put food on their tables. We are truly grateful each and every month for the generosity shown for our organization. And without this support our job as volunteers would be much harder and stressful trying to provide enough food to keep the pantry shelves stocked in order to feed our 37 El Segundo families in need twice a month.

We are taking this month of January off as we have all been very busy over the holidays and our community was very generous to the pantry. So please look for the next food drive flyer in February.

Thank you again,
The CASE volunteers
