Costume Parade 10/29 at 8:30 am

This year’s costume parade will take place on the Kindergarten playground. We will be lining up by grade level (TK first and 5th grade last) and walking around the perimeter of the playground. Parents will be able to watch from the sidewalk on Mariposa or the gates in front of the kindergarten playground/library garden. As you plan ahead, please be aware that our school has the following guidelines to keep the atmosphere safe and fun for all:

Students will be allowed to wear their costumes to school for the parade. Your child’s safety is our first concern. We urge you to guide their selection of costumes and costume accessories in a manner that will assure their own vision and their visibility to others.
To minimize the chance of injury to other students, children may not wear masks that cover their entire face nor may they bring replica weapons. In selecting costumes that are safe, non-offensive, and non-violent, you are taking an active role in your child’s safety and well-being. Please refrain from frightening costumes.

Shopping for Students

Please help CSS PTA earn cash by shopping at any of the stores and restaurants at Manhattan Village Mall (this includes Ralphs!) Our school earns 5 points per dollar spent and that will translate to a portion of a $4000 pot split among the 4 schools in El Segundo. Once you have shopped, you can either turn in the receipt to the mall concierge or drop it in the main collection box at the school office. Even better, buy a mall gift card first (worth 1000 points for the school) and then shop and turn in the receipt for multiple point opportunities. Be on the lookout for a new flyer with all of the upcoming Spring events! All receipts are due no later than April 2016 - please contact with any questions.
